Doublemix No. 50, 2016

Doublemix is the result of a collaboration between Denis Darzacq and ceramicist, Anna Lüneman. Following his practice of creating tension between opposing forces, Darzacq created photo-sculpture hybrids, embedding earthenware fragments directly into laser-cut photographs. The photographs are decidedly digital, the sculptures undeniably tactile. Like throwing a physical wrench into a virtual space, Doublemix puts the world outside and on screen into one plane and prompts a reappraisal of our engagement with what we see.

Pieces from the Doublemix series are unique, editions of 1.

This print is produced with archival pigments on fine art paper. The ceramic is glazed earthenware. It includes a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Darzacq.

Prices include special mounting and framing. Prints are mounted to Dibond and laser cut. Internal armatures support the ceramic pieces. The works are finished in custom float frames without glass (raw prints).

Turnaround times for pieces from the Doublemix series are usually 2 weeks (shipping from France), unless they are presently in our inventory.
